I tied for 3rd place in the 2006 European Women's Championship, in Kusadasi, Turkey, in April 2006. After a day full of play-offs I finally finished on 6th place.

    Next I played in the Chess Olympiad in Turin, Italy, from May 19th until June 2nd, 2006, on 1st board for the Greek Women's National Team and scored 7.5/13. Then followed the Greek League (July 3-10), where I played on 2nd men's board for my club, OAA "Heraklio", scoring 5.5/8.

    My next tournament was the Accentus Ladies' Tournament in beautiful Biel, Switzerland, from July 24th to August 3rd. I scored 5/10 and finished on 3rd place.

    In the following months I didn't play in any tournaments, as I was busy with other projects, such as my new book (you can read about it elsewhere on this website). I returned to competitive play in February 2007, in the Mediterranean Championships in Cannes, France. There, with a score of 6.5/9, I tied for 3rd place in the overall standings and became Mediterranean Women's Champion!

    My next tournament will be the European Women's Championships in Dresden, Germany, from April 2nd to April 16th 2007. I will also play in the Greek League again, at the beginning of July 2007.
